TrustLedger helps you record loans and shared expenses with people you know. This page explains what the app stores and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, display name, role in the app, and the contact email you add.
- Ledger records: loans, group splits, amounts, notes, settlement requests and their status.
- Payment proof: photos you choose to attach when asking to settle.
- Device information: basic details such as phone model, Android version and app version, used to show which devices an account uses and to help fix problems. A report you send from the app also includes this information.
How it is used
Only to run the app: showing balances to the people involved, syncing between phones, approving settlements, sending announcements, and fixing bugs. We do not sell your data and do not show ads.
Who can see it
A loan or split is visible to the people in it. Public loans are visible to the group. The app's developer and any admins the developer appoints can view limited account and activity information to maintain the service.
Storage and security
Data is stored on a managed cloud database and server. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, so nobody, including the developer, can read them. Records are also kept on your phone so the app works offline.
Your choices
- Edit your name, username, email and password in Profile.
- To delete your account or ask what is stored about you, email the address below. If you have loans or splits with others, the account is closed and your name is removed, while the shared records stay so other people's balances remain correct.
